Join us to kick off the new academic year and to learn more upcoming events, process for hiring students & graduates, employment strategy, student & graduate demographics, course breakdowns and more ..

If your company is unable to attend a Careers Fair, or has a specific time-bound recruitment need, you can setup a stall in our careers centre exclusively for your company alone to engage with our students & graduates in-person.

 

Students & graduates can register in advance or turn up on the day to  pass by your stand (in our careers centre) to speak to your representatives

On average, there are approximately 20 attendees at a single session

Guest Lectures & Workshops

Industry / Career area focused events offering students the chance to develop their awareness of career opportunities and challenges in their field of interest. 
Topics for discussion may cover the latest trends in the field, challenges and opportunities, updates on recruitment processes and offer a chance to promote your own organisation. 

 

The sessions may comprise a variety of different formats: 
A panel of industry/alumni speakers with Q&A 
Speed networking opportunities between company representatives and students 
Prepared talks/workshops.

Heriot-Watt University Dubai: Careers in Sustainability Fair 2026

Wednesday

2:00pm - 4:00pm

 

This event collaboration with our Dubai Environmental Sustainability Committee (DESC) and the Careers Team arises in response to the growing suggestions captured by students across the past year from campus wide undergraduate programs on attracting potential employers onto our campus with a key environmental focus in operations and task force.

Sustainability education is embedded across each discipline at Heriot-Watt, and we are focusing our attention on emerging professional roles and industry pathways for future employment.  

There is a vast interest by firms to seek emerging talent for green jobs across all sectors of industry, and we look to host our first sustainability career event to co-incide with sustainability week in January 2026.

The Event will take shape of a Careers Fair where, registered companies will be provided with stalls, Students & graduates can register in advance or turn up on the day to pass by your stand (in a large room on campus) to speak to your representatives

Careers Fair February 2026

Ideal opportunity to engage with the majority of our students & graduates in one place and network with other professionals as multiple companies will have their own stand in the same room 

 

Students & graduates can register in advance or turn up on the day to pass by your stand (in a large room on campus) to speak to your representatives

On average, there are approximately 55 companies & 300 attendees at a careers fair.

Recruitment Fair May 2026

Ideal opportunity to engage with the majority of our students & graduates in one place and network with other professionals as multiple companies will have their own stand in the same room

This will be particularly ideal for recruiting summer interns or fresh graduates because it takes place immediately after exams finish and students begin their summer break or have finished their degrees

You must have current jobs advertised on our careers portal to participate

 

Students & graduates can register in advance or turn up on the day to  pass by your stand (in a large room on campus) to speak to your representatives

On average, there are approximately 22 companies & 270 attendees at a careers fair

Coffee & Connect: Meet our Postgraduates

Join us for a relaxed evening designed to foster meaningful connections between postgraduate students and employers. This informal event offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse group of postgraduates from across disciplines, industries, and career stages — including those currently employed and those exploring new opportunities.

The setting is casual and conversation-led, creating space for authentic interaction and relationship-building. Employers are invited to connect with the postgraduate community, expand their networks, and offer support through informal conversation.
